Power Walk 2017
Power Walkers were out in full force for our 1st international Power Walk for Dress for Success®!
Power Walk is the only international 5km walk dedicated to empowering women on their journey to economic empowerment. It was wonderful to host this meaningful event for the first time in Singapore on Sunday 29 October 2017 and join our sister Dress for Success® affiliates around the world who have held the Walk this year.
Power Walk 2017 was a family-friendly event held in conjunction with Car Free Sunday SG, where participants could walk down the streets of the Central Business District and experience the city in a whole new way.
One of the highlights was walking along Esplanade Drive and posing for photos with the shiny skyscrapers of the business district in the background. The walk seemed to whiz by in no time at our brisk pace!
As we looped our way back to the Padang, we checked in at a café for some morning coffee and fun – an Instagram contest and Dress for Success® quiz! It really was a lovely way to spend Sunday morning.
Power Walk 2017 was organised by Image Mission in support of Dress for Success® Singapore – empowering women to get jobs, advance in their careers and achieve economic independence.
